2012 Captain and CoachThe CKC Agility Team Canada announces our NEW CAPTAIN AND COACH.
Welcome Kim & John Cullen! Kim & John Cullen are sharing the roles of Team Captain and Coach. Together their qualifications and expertise make them a dynamite duo! We welcome them to the Management Team, and look forward to their leadership over the next two years. Kim and her lovely Border Collie 'Recess' are accomplished competitors, placing numerous times at Regional and National Championships. Kim and Recess were the 2008 AAC National Champions and the 2011 AAC ON Regional Champions in the 22" Regular Division. At the international level, Kim and Recess were named to the 2008, 2010 and 2012 Canadian IFCS World Teams, bringing home a sliver and bronze medal in 2010. They particpated in four USDAA Cynosport World Games, winning the Dog Agility Master 3-Dog Team Event in 2010, and making Steeplechase Finals in 2008. Kim and Recess also represented Canada at the inaugural World Agility Open Championships in 2011, bringing home a bronze medal in the Agility Games event, and placing 8th overall in the Agility Pentathlon event. Kim is thrilled to bring her depth of experience and enthusiasm to the CKC Agility Team Canada management team, and began working with us this week to bring Canada's best agility athletes to the FCI Championships. Welcome to your new post, John! John has been an expert member of the CKC ATC Management Team the past two years, and has worked as a Sport Psychology consultant for agility handlers since 2006 (www.cognitive-edge.ca). His athletes find their way to many personal best performances with his help, including wins at regional, national and international championships. He has over 15 years coaching experience, namely in hockey, and has a proven record preparing his teams both physically and mentally for the rigours of tournament competitions and delivering championships at these events. John is looking forward to bringing his energy and experience to CKC's Agility Team Canada. John and Kim live in Ancaster Ontario with their two children, Ryan and Kenzie, and three border collies, Recess, Gossip, & Savvy.
